Free AI crawler access check.
Paste your robots.txt and find out in ten seconds whether GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended can reach your site at all. If they're blocked, nothing else you do matters — and a surprising number of sites block them without anyone having decided to.
Opens straight into the tool. No signup, no email, nothing leaves your browser.
Open the ai crawler access check →What it does
Reads your robots.txt, returns a per-engine ALLOWED or BLOCKED verdict, names the exact line doing the blocking, and writes you a corrected allow-block to paste in. No crawling, no account — you paste the text, the check runs in your browser.
Why this is first, always
Every other fix on this site — schema, llms.txt, FAQ content, entity clarity — assumes an engine can fetch your pages. If GPTBot is disallowed, you can do all of it perfectly and remain invisible in ChatGPT. This is the ten seconds that tells you whether the rest of the work is even reachable.
How this usually happens
Almost never on purpose. A theme ships a restrictive default; a developer adds a blanket disallow during a staging build and it survives launch; a security plugin adds AI-bot blocking as a checked-by-default “privacy” feature. Blocking AI crawlers is a legitimate choice — the problem is making it without knowing.
Questions
How do I find my robots.txt file?
Type your website address followed by /robots.txt — for example yourbusiness.com/robots.txt — into a browser. If a page of text appears, select all of it and paste it into the checker. If you get a 404, you have no robots.txt, which means nothing is blocked.
Which AI crawlers does the check cover?
The bots behind the major answer engines, including GPTBot (ChatGPT), ClaudeBot (Claude), PerplexityBot (Perplexity) and Google-Extended (Gemini and AI Overviews).
Is blocking AI crawlers bad?
Not necessarily — some businesses have a considered reason to keep their content out of AI training and retrieval. It is only a problem when it happens by accident, which is most of the time. The point of the check is to make it a decision rather than a default.
Is the crawler check free?
Yes. No signup, no account, no email. You paste the text and the analysis happens in your browser — nothing is sent to RalliGEO.
I'm blocked. What do I change?
The checker names the exact offending line and generates a corrected allow-block you can paste over it. Applying it is usually a two-minute edit in your site's robots.txt file or SEO plugin.
